Spend an afternoon exploring the defense of Ohio involving its many fortified structures from pre-statehood through the civil war.  Ohio's location required necessary structures from single blockhouses and trading posts to huge military complexes for our young nation.  From Fort Miami to Camp Chase, over 40 sites have stood across the state.  Our own engaging historian and photographer, Keith Whitehead, will dazzle you about little know locations and fortifications.

Prior to the fair, meet with a representative from Orange Frazer Press from 10AM-12PM  in the Gaier Room of the Main Library to learn the ins and outs of publishing in Publishing 101.

You are invited to join us for our first ever Springfield Writes Local Author Fair.  Spend the afternoon meeting a variety of local, published authors.  Many different genres of books will be represented.  Get tips on how to get published and more.  Books will be available for purchase.
