Join us for a discussion on The Confession by John Grisham. For every innocent man sent to prison, there is a guilty one living free on the outside. When Travis, a guilty man, discovers that he will die from a brain tumor, he decides to confess to murder. During his tour of duty in Vietnam, Jack Mecham was solely responsible for planning and issuing frag orders for missions flown by the 20th Helicopter Squadron.  Additionally, he flew more than 100 combat missions during that same period (1966-1967).  Most of the missions were in support of CIA operations in Laos, Cambodia and North Vietnam and were classified TOP SECRET.  Even the helicopters were unmarked and sanitized.  The only information provided to the USAF was the number of sorties flown.  In this presentation, Mecham will provide insight into the nature of t

Writing Fiction for the New Fiction Writer - Presented by J. Walt Layne & the Springfield, OH area Writer's Group

Tuesdays, October 14th, 21st and 28th at 6PM

This series is a basic workshop for new writers or those who want to write and are interested in the trade craft of fiction writing.  Sessions will be interactive and run between 60 and 90 minutes.
