Join us for a discussion on The Paris Wife by Paula McLain. Books will be available for check out from the branch.

Meeting through mutual friends in Chicago, Hadley is intrigued by brash “beautiful boy” Ernest Hemingway. After a brief courtship and small wedding, they take off to live in Paris. There, Hadley makes a convincing transformation from an overprotected child to a brave young woman who puts up with impoverished living conditions and shattering loneliness to prop up her husband’s career.

Open Mic Poetry Read (adult 18 and up) - Main

Have you written your own original poetry, or have some favorites that you'd like to share with others?  If so, you are invited to share your talent for the spoken word at our Open Mic Poetry Night.

Open to everyone 18 and up.  Each participant will have 15 minutes to read and perform the poetry of their choice.  Please keep your selections family friendly.
