Candy Lab (those entering 1st grade & older) Houston

Come dressed as a wacky scientist if you'd like and participate in some fun candy experiments.  Watch soda disappear, observe a Skittles rainbow, be fascinated by an M&M Halley's Comet and more!  Be treated to edible chocolate slime and a fizzy drink at the end.  Be sure to invite your friends!

Exploring Earth Science (1st-5th graders) Enon

Come and be a scientist for the day with Dr. Stacey Hundley from Wright State University. This hands-on program will include exploding volcanoes, searching for fossils, learning about Ohio’s fossils, identifying rocks and minerals and understanding water quality. WSU education majors will join Dr. Hundley for this program. Registration is preferred. Please call or stop by the branch to register.

Glen Helen Raptor Center’s Hunters of the Sky program features a falcon, hawk and an owl, all found in Ohio. You’ll learn about their special adaptations such as, their excellent eyesight and hearing, their strong feet and talons and their sharp, curved beaks. Registration is preferred.
