Retired Wing Commander of the 178th Fighter Group of the Air National Guard, Colonel Richard Lohnes will speak about his deployment in Iraq during Operation Desert Strike in 1996. Colonel Lohnes, born in Springfield, OH, is a 34 year veteran of the United States Air Force and Air National Guard. 32 of his 34 years of service was spent as a fighter pilot and included being an F-16 flying instructor, squadron and group commander, and detachment commander.
