Join us for an eight week long course on food and nutrition presented by Virginia Foulke from the Ohio State University Extension. Participants will learn about healthy eating habits, how to manage food dollars to help prevent monthly food shortages, nutrients the body needs, different food sources, how to read food labels, the nutritional value of food, food safety and storage and simple ways to increase physical activity.
Registration is required and begins two-weeks prior to the course. Registration will be closed after the September 16th session, so make sure to call and reserve your spot. This hands-on course is intended for parents, grandparents and caregivers preparing meals for children in their home. Participants will have the opportunity to sample some of the healthy food discussed, learn new and easy recipes, receive helpful kitchen tools and a certificate upon completion..
